In the dark

How would you feel if you had to do something as simple as tying a ribbon in absolute darkness? Would you succeed?

Through the action “In the Dark”, hosted in the specially designed space of Wise House, we invite your team to live a unique experience of social contribution, collaboration, and empathy. During the action, participants wear special masks that completely block their vision and are called to collaborate in absolute darkness for a common purpose: to fill boxes with cookies, pack educational material, prepare gifts or books, which will then be offered to children and fellow human beings in need.

Throughout the experience, participants are guided by people with visual impairment, gaining an authentic insight into their daily lives. Through this experiential process, they perceive the challenges faced by people with vision loss, develop deeper empathy, and discover the importance of trust, communication, and collaboration when the most dominant sense is missing.

The experience concludes with a brief interactive training by the visually impaired people themselves, who present basic principles of properly supporting and guiding a blind person. Participants thus acquire practical knowledge that they can apply in their daily lives, contributing to a more inclusive and accessible society for all.
